I bought several .com domains last year at a promotional price. But I didn’t know in a year domain renewal would cost 20 times more. How can the price increase so much??? The registrar didn’t inform in advance the price would be exactly that.

Yes, this has been the case with these new TLDs lately. I once fell into this trap too. Therefore, I no longer register domains at suspiciously low prices. You can check prices at the Pananames panamanian registrar. Here all renewal prices are known and 10 years in advance.

Yes, it is much more expensive than the actual cost of domain renewals. Better to transfer domains to another registrar with better prices. You can check pananames.com registrar. Renewing a .com domain here costs $10.84, and .net $12.42. This is a reasonable price and I always register domains here.
